Shelagh MacFarlane, MMus, MSc
Counselling Psychologist
I am a Canadian and I have been living in SouthEast Asia for the past 26 years. I began my career as a professional orchestra musician (violin) and then I retrained as a psychologist, by earning my credentials in Canada (Counselling Diploma) and in the United Kingdom (MSc in Counselling Psychology). Professionally, I am a member of the British Columbia Psychological Association (BCPA) and the International Practitioners
in Holistic Medicine (IPHM). I have also taken on roles in humanitarian projects in Nepal, South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, and Afghanistan.
I began my private practice in 2005 so I now have nearly 20 years experience working with a wide range of individuals, couples and families from many different countries and diverse cultural backgrounds. If you are wanting to make a positive change in your life, my approach is always compassionate and m y goal is to listen, understand, support, and inspire clients as they explore, discover, heal, and grow.
Counselling sessions online are easy to schedule and allow for meetings at times that work best for you. Counselling is also a very personal activity and you need to feel comfortable, so I encourage you to read the client testimonials on the main page of my website to get a better sense of what it is like to work with me. Also, if you havent worked with me before, please click the link below to get 50% off an initial session.
I do hope we have an opportunity to meet.
Warm regards,
Shelagh
